Hotel Highlight: Hotel Indigo Denver

August 10, 2018

This past weekend I had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Indigo in 'LoDo' Denver. The Hotel Indigo ties back to the prospecting days of old in Denver, Colorado - an homage to the early settlers & the gold rush.

It's a very modern property in a great & growing part of the Mile High City. Located just a few blocks from Union Station and with easy access to several highways & interstates it is a location with near perfect PTA (Plane, Train, Automobile) access. Onsite self-parking or valet is available as well at very fair rates.

Entering the Indigo Denver you're greeted with vibrant reds & friendly faces - the lobby has a

decidedly minimalistic design that is dominated by a sundered tree trunk on center display. Historic maps of the city are overlaid upon frosted red glass as are several images of prospectors past.

The King Room provides awesome views of Downtown Denver and an abundance of natural light as you enter by way of the oversized windows. The room is accented by light wood features, much like the lobby, and features several high end amenities.

Aside from an impressive 47-inch TV mounted to the wall there is also a Keurig Coffee Maker available, USB outlets in the nightstands, and incredibly plush bedding that greet you. A dedicated work desk & ergonomic chair provide a pleasant place to check e-mails or get some last minute work done before a meeting or heading out to explore the city.

The bathroom provides a wonderful spa-like aesthetic. Rustic sliding barn doors reveal a walk-in marble shower come stocked with quality Avena products, plush towels of various sizes and a beautifully backlit vanity mirror. You'll leave feeling properly pampered & ready to take on your day!

If you're looking for an easy bite to eat or a quick drink, head on down to Hearth & Dram - the inhouse eatery. Featuring rustic American eats & 300 + whiskeys available (the most in Denver) there is something for everyone to enjoy.

If you're more inclined to get out & explore there is a plethora of food & drink within walking distance! If you're looking for a quick drink & appetizers swing by The Thirsty Lion - they have a standard happy hour as well as a late night option. If a liquid diet is more your speed check out Prost Brewing for quality German Bier.

Regardless of what brings you to the Mile High City - Hotel Indigo is an amazing property worth checking out. We promise - you won't regret it!
